The team

Built by cybersecurity experts

Ari’s team built one of the industry’s most respected cybersecurity platforms and has defended critical banking systems. An assistant that reads your calendar and mail should be built by people who’ve spent careers keeping attackers out.

  • Erkang Zheng

    Founder & CEO

Founded JupiterOne, one of the industry’s most respected cybersecurity platforms. Before that, built systems at Fidelity, IBM and Cisco.

  • Max Heckel

    Founding Engineer & CTO

Engineering at Google, McGraw Hill and JupiterOne. Created SciSummary.

  • Shawn Zhu

    Founding Engineer, AIOps & Research

IBM, LifeOmic and FountainLife. Co-created the Zori AI medical assistant.

“We built Ari the way I learned to build systems at JupiterOne, at Fidelity, at IBM, at Cisco: security is the foundation, not the frosting.”
Erkang Zheng, in Building Trust in AI Companions

What Ari does on its own

Always on. Never snooping.

Ari works in the background on what you’ve connected, and stops where you’d want it to.

  • A brief before every meeting

Who you’re meeting, what was said last time and what you promised, waiting for you before you walk in.

Reads only the calendar and mail you connect.

  • Todos that close themselves

What you promised, and what others promised you, becomes a todo. Ari reminds you, or them, and checks it off when it sees it’s done.

Never used to train a model.

  • Keeps you in touch

Each week Ari picks a few people worth getting back in touch with, and says why now: “You’re hiring a Head of Sales; Priya built Stripe’s.”

Your conversations aren’t shared with your employer.

The coverage

What’s been reported about Muse

In the reporters’ words, with their sources. Judge for yourself.

  • Forkast reported that internal posts describe Muse “stalling, stopping page refreshes after 15 minutes, and silently ignoring errors.”2
  • Forkast also reported, citing unnamed reports, that the agent “has struggled with guardrail bypasses.”2
  • According to Forkast, Meta’s VP of AI Products, Vishal Shah, said the company delayed Muse’s April 2026 release to improve security.2
  • Meta’s answer: Muse runs in a dedicated “Muse Secure VM,” with a separate Sentinel agent that monitors its actions and asks before high-risk tasks,2 and Muse can’t see your passwords or payment methods.1
FAQ

Questions, answered

Is Ari free?
Yes, to start, and with no credit card. When you want more, Base is under $1 a day ($25 a month, billed annually) and Pro is $100 a month.
What can Ari access?
Only what you connect: typically your calendar, mail, drive and tasks, plus whatever you tell it. Nothing else.
Can I use Ari and Muse together?
Yes. Nothing in Ari stops you, and they aim at different jobs: Muse at errands like shopping and bills, Ari at your work, from meetings and follow-ups to your priorities and your team. Just keep the work with Ari.
Who can read my data?
You, and Ari, to do the work. Your data is encrypted with a key unique to you, Ariso staff can’t view it unless you authorize it for support, and it’s never used to train models. Close your account and its key is deleted, so what’s left is unreadable. The details are in our privacy policy and list of subprocessors.

Your agent should work for you, not an ad company.

Free. No card. No Meta.
